Former MP: stable domestic situation in Armenia to reduce risk of war

PanARMENIAN.Net - In case of surrender of the liberated territories, Nagorno Karabakh will not get any status, according to Sasun Mikaelyan, participant of the Karabakh war, commander of Sasun division, former member of the Armenian parliament.

“I strongly object to surrender of even an inch of the land,” Mikaelyan told a press conference in Yerevan.

According to him, weak positions of the Armenian authorities do not allow them to settle any issue regarding Karabakh conflict. Mikaelyan expressed confidence that if the issue is not resolved peacefully, war is unavoidable.

“If we want to avoid resumption of hostilities, first of all we must settle down our internal political problems,” Mikaelyan said, adding that stable domestic situation in Armenia will reduce the risk of war.

The war participant does not consider that the Presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia register progress during the Kazan meeting.
