ROBERT KOCHARIAN ATTACHES MUCH IMPORTANCE TO THE BUSINESS FORUM "INVESTMENTS TO ARMENIA", TO BE HELD IN MAY 2000 IN NEW YORK

PanARMENIAN.Net - 17.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. President of Armenia Robert Kocharian and the Director of International Finance Corporation Department of Central and Eastern Europe Edward Nassim discussed today questions dealing with preparation and organization of "Investments to Armenia" business forum, to be held in May 2001 in New York under the auspices of the World Bank.

As was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press office of the President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian noted that Armenia is interested in the cooperation with IFC and expressed the hope that the visit of Mr. Nassim will become a serious step in the path of the development of bilateral cooperation. The President stressed that presence of IFC in Armenia will assist drawing foreign investments to the economy of Armenia. President of Armenia stressed the necessity to realize the forum properly and noted that he will control the preparation works himself. -0-
