Expert: Azerbaijan’s UN Security Council seat doesn’t threaten Armenia![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan’s election as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council is not threatening Armenia, director of Regional Studies Center said. “However, Armenian authorities should comprehend the necessity of intensifying diplomatic activity in international institutions,” Richard Giragosian told a press conference in Yerevan. According to him, Azerbaijan can’t reach success in promoting the Karabakh issue in the UN due to the position of the OSCE Minsk Group countries, which will not accept UN’s interference in the process. “In general, Armenia’s position is rather strong, specifically after the failure of Kazan meeting,” Giragorian said. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
