ARMENIA ENTERS NEW STAGE OF MEETING COMMITMENTS TO CE, HEAD OF ARMENIAN DELEGATION IN PACE CONSIDERS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is at the threshold of entering a new stage of the process of meeting the commitments undertaken at the entry to the Council of Europe, head of the Armenian delegation in the CE Parliamentary Assembly, Vice Speaker of the RA National Assembly Tigran Torosian stated when presenting the report of the temporary parliamentary commission for the issues of euro-integration. In his words, at present the commission together with the justice ministry is discussing the schedule produced by the Council of Europe for Armenia to fulfill the obligations. The schedule will be finally accorded with PACE in early March. T. Torosian pointed out 4 principal groups of bills, which should be worked out and approved within the frames of the commitments, these being the reforms in the juridical sphere, system of self-government, amendments to the Constitution as well as the changes in the Election Code and the law on conducting rallies and marches.
