Air Communication with Armenia Suspended over Heavy SnowfallJanuary 23, 2006 - 18:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armiavia airlines informed that the ongoing heavy snowfall caused suspension of air communication with Armenia. The airports of Zvartnots in Yerevan and Shirak in Gyumri are closed. The planes, which were in the air when the airports closed, were directed to extra airdromes. The rest of the flights were suspended till the improvement of weather conditions, reported Armavia.![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
