Criminal case filed against police officers

PanARMENIAN.Net - Within the frameworks of the criminal case filed recently, policemen dispersing demonstrators during March 1, 2008 disorders were accused of crimes prescribed by Articles 373 and 309 of RA Criminal Code (violating the rules of using special means and abuse of authority).



As shown by expert examination policemen violated the rules of using КС-23 special means. As a result, 3 individuals died; 3 others received various forms of injuries.



The officers who used the above-mentioned forms of carabin have been identified. While dispersing the crowd during demonstration, police officers abused authority by resorting to violence and using special means, RA General Prosecutor's Office says in a release.
