Hranush Hakobyan met "Come home 2009" program participantsAugust 4, 2009 - 17:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yesterday RA Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan met 60 participants of "Come home 2009" (Ari Tun) annual program. Families hosting Diaspora children, representatives of Health, Education, Territorial Administration and Defense ministries attended the meeting. Hranush Hakobyan expressed a hope that children enjoyed their stay in Armenia and will be willing to return. The program launched on May 2009. During 6 months, they will be staying with host families in Yerevan and neighboring regions. The first stage of program hosted 137 Diaspora representatives from Siria, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Egypt, Iran, and Russia. The program is initiated with financial assistance of RA Diaspora Ministry. A number of events were organized within program framework to enable program participants' communication with their Armenian peers, familiarize themselves with RA historic monuments, visit festivals, exhibitions and theater performances.
