Atamans Council formed in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 31, Yerevan hosted the first council of leaders of Cossack organizations operating in Armenia. A resolution was taken to form Atamans Council to coordinate further activities of Cossacks in Armenia.



"The council aims at more effective solution of major issues: strengthening of RA defense capacity, prevention of ethnic conflicts, strengthening and development of collaboration with Cossack organizations abroad," Cossack Major General Artur Maksapetyan stated at the council.



It was also resolved at the meeting to convene the First Grand circle (General assembly) of Armenian Cossacks to be held on December 17 in Yerevan.
