16,000 Turks, residing in Germany, protest against Turkey’s policy of denialApril 24, 2010 - 17:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Head of the Union against Genocide Elif Selaf Eddem said that they have managed to collect 16,000 signatures of Turks, residing in Germany, who protest against Turkey’s persistent policy of the Armenian Genocide denial. “And though I am ashamed of not seeing Turks in Tsitsernakaberd today, but I do come here for the third year to commemorate the Genocide victims,” Eddem told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. According to him, the Union against Genocide was established in Germany 11 years ago. “I strongly believe that such an organization cannot exist in Turkey, as there is a permanent threat to any similar manifestations. I understand that the steps taken by us are just a drop in an ocean, but we hope that they will be fruitful. We conceive that the denial policy pursued by Turkey is wrong,” Eddem said.
