International System of Units pleased with Armenian rescuer’s activity

PanARMENIAN.Net - Representative of International System of Units German NGO said that joint activity with the Armenian rescuers is a good opportunity to gain experience, the only difficulty being the language barrier.

Armenia 2010 is the tenth field exercise conducted by the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) since 2000 and the first to be hosted by Armenia as its contribution to the Partnership for Peace (PfP) program for 2010.

The scenario for the exercise is a severe earthquake in the vicinity of Yerevan, resulting in high numbers of victims and widespread damage to critical infrastructure, including chemical spills and a radiological incident.
