Cossacks’ visit was timed to the events marking 10th anniversary of Armenian Cossack Union. The importance of clergy’s role in strengthening of the army was emphasized at the meeting. The supreme officership of Cossack Union granted Catolicos of All Armenians Karekin II with the highest award of Cossack Army, Ataman Platov order, Holy Echmiadzin press service reported.
