Armen Melikbekyan responds to accusations by Sergey Janjoyan, calling them disgraceful and harmful to Armenia's international representation in football.
On May 24, 2017, Armenian National Federation of Bodybuilding held its traditional closed championship in bodybuilding, classic and beach bodybuilding, as well as fitness bikini. The winners and those coming in second seized the opportunity to represent Armenia at Black Sea Cup 2017 in Georgia.

Armenian athletes won 170 medals at European and world championships, including 4 Olympic medals in 2016. The members of Armenia’s adult, junior and youth teams won 10 gold, 11 silver and 20 bronze medals at world championships, as well as 37 gold, 46 silver and 42 bronze medals at European competitions. 7 athletes with disabilities are among the medalists. Greco-Roman wrestler, Olympic champion Artur Aleksanyan was recognized as the best athlete of the year.
