CIS HAS GREAT POTENTIAL BUT NEEDS MODERNIZATION, ARMENIAN PRESIDENT CONSIDERS

PanARMENIAN.Net - "The CIS possesses a great potential, however we should determine the objectives we are aspired to achieve. We need to decide which structures are really effective and which ones badly need modernization", Armenian President Robert Kocharian stated today during the press conference in the Kazakh capital of Astana upon the completion of the Summit of the leaders of the CIS states. In his words, there is a necessity to modernize the Commonwealth. Noting that the Kazakh President has already made certain proposals on CIS reforming, R. Kocharian expressed hope that in the course of a year the CIS leaders will succeed in deciding on essential reforms to be carried out.
