NEW ACHIEVEMENT POSSIBLE TO APPEAR IN GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS BOOK

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new achievement on organization of a live chain of 155 km along the perimeter of the foot of the Aragats mountain in Armenia can appear in the Guinness Book of World Records, Arminfo agency reports. 160 thousand Armenians from all over the world are to make a circle around the foot of the mountain as a token of the unity of the nation. The round dance is initiated by Nig-Aparan charitable friendly association. Association member Ophelia Petrosian noted that this unprecedented action will be registered by the representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records and shot by CNN. After the round dance a tree will be planted on each meter at the foot of the mountain. Each participant will wear a cap of apricot color symbolizing one of the colors of the Armenian flag and the color of sunset above the Aragats. "The round dance is dated to the 90-th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, 1600-th anniversary of the creation of Armenian written language as well as to the Bash-Aparan victory over the Turkish troops in 1918", Ophelia Petrosian informed. In her words, representatives of the Armenian Diaspora will organize similar events in the cultural and religious centers on the countries they reside in at 2 p.m. Yerevan time. Businessmen, public and community organizations are to provide carriers to the foot of Aragats for free.
