Baku: Breakthrough Possible at Kocharian-Aliyev Meeting

PanARMENIAN.Net - The statements by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs will not influence upon the confidentiality of the talks on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, Azeri Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov told reporters today. In his words, a breakthrough is possible during the presidential meeting July 17. "There is no precise document lying on the bargaining table for Armenia and Azerbaijan and the statements on any framework agreement are premature," said Azeri Deputy FM.



"It's incorrect to make statements halfway, since certain misunderstanding appears in the end. As it could be seen, the opposite side has already attempted to make use of these statements," Azimov remarked.



It should be noted that earlier RA President's Spokesman Victor Soghomonyan stated that it's premature to speak of the meeting of Armenian President Robert Kocharian and Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev within the framework of the G8 summit in Saint Petersburg.
