RA President and CMCE chairman discussed domestic situation in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Robert Kocharian met Monday with chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CMCE), Foreign Minister of Slovakia Ján Kubiš, to discuss the post-election situation in the republic and the Armenian-Slovakian cooperation, the RA leader's press office reports.



Mr Kubiš praised restraint of the authorities under the trying circumstances. "Democracy is first of all respect for the law," he noted.



When considering the Armenian-Slovakian relation, the top officials stressed the importance of economic cooperation.



Mr Kubiš that at least three Slovakian government members will visit Armenia this year, what will promote development of relations.
