U.S. pushing hard for Ukraine and Georgia to gain entry to NATO

PanARMENIAN.Net - The U.S. is pushing hard for Ukraine and Georgia to gain entry to NATO.



"Supporting the NATO Membership Action Plans for Ukraine and Georgia, the United States will keep up close cooperation with the two countries," said Daniel Fried, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.



"During the Bucharest summit NATO leaders unanimously announced that Georgia and Ukraine will be members of the Alliance. It was a strategically significant decision which will allow to avoid dividing lines in Europe," he said, 1news.az reports.
