Georgian periodical says the project was discussed last Monday.Deployment of US bases in Georgia by 2015 is lobbied by a group of Republican Congressmen. Former US Vice President Dick Cheney is in charge of the project. Document will be finalized in 2010 and considered within a year. In case of being approved and receiving Georgian side's agreement, construction work will be completed by 2014-15, and about 25 thousand American servicemen will be deployed in Georgia. According to preliminary reports, Pentagon's project is aimed at creating one marine and two land bases, exactly as much as in Russia and Abkhazia. Official Tbilisi has made no comments so far, "Nezavisimaya Gazeta" reports.
