"UNDOUBTEDLY, EVENTS IN OTTOMAN TURKEY REPRESENT GENOCIDE OF ARMENIANS," - POLISH PRESIDENT ALEKSANDER KWASNIEWSKI STATED

PanARMENIAN.Net - Undoubtedly, events in Ottoman Turkey in 1915 represent genocide of Armenians. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski, who is in Armenia with a three-day state visit, said this in the course of his lecture at Yerevan State University. "No one in the world can argue with facts. The genocide happened, the tragedy took place," - head of the Polish Republic stressed and advised his Turkish colleagues and friends "to speak the truth." In Kwasniewski's words, Warsaw is ready to contribute to development of political dialogue between Yerevan and Ankara. The Polish President considers that after the terrorist acts of September 11 the approaches of the international community to the question of recognition of the Armenian genocide should change. "It is necessary to recognize and condemn the evil," - Aleksander Kwasniewski added. In his words, Poland recognized what a genocide was on its own experience after millions of peaceful Poles were killed by fascists in the course of the World War II.
