New school opened in Syunik region through assistance of Japan and UN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan participated in the opening ceremony of a new school in Ishkhanasar on the sidelines of his working visit to Syunik region.

About AMD 100mln were spend for the school’s construction, with AMD 66mln allocated by the Armenian Fund of Social Investments.

The program was also financed by the Japanese government and Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The Deputy Prime Minister said that cooperation in such format is mutually beneficial and expressed hope that it will continue in future.

Minister Gevorgyan also observed construction of a ropeway in Tatev, as well as of the road leading to Tatev from Yerevan-Meghri intergovernmental highway.
