Armenian Ambassador to Romania met with Bucharest Mayor

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 14, Mayor of Bucharest Sorin Oprescu received Armenia’s Ambassador to Romania Hamlet Gasparyan.

Vice-Chairman of the Armenian community of Romania Varuzhan Pambukchian also participated in the meeting.

The parties noted that Armenians’ century-long presence in Romania and the high level of awareness of each other create a sound basis for boosting the Armenian-Romanian cooperation in various fields.

Besides, they exchanged opinions on establishment of a direct communication between the capitals of Armenia and Romania, as well as on cooperation opportunities within various programs. Hamlet Gasparyan conveyed Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan’s greetings and invitation to Sorin Oprescu. The Mayor of Bucharest had pleasure in accepting the invitation.

The parties agreed to continue consultations aimed at boosting bilateral relations, the RA MFA press service reported.
