Armenia and Iran attach importance to further consolidation and deepening of ties

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said that the ties between Armenia and Iran are "warm and excellent."

“We stress further consolidation and deepening of the ties," Nalbandian said during a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki.

The Armenian minister said that the two sides have initiated different plans to expand their bilateral relations in various fields, adding that Yerevan is scheduled to hold Armenia's Culture Day in Tehran in the near future, Fars news agency reported.

Nalbandian noted the recent visits to Tehran by several Armenian officials, including the country's Defense Minister, and said: "Political consultations are underway between the two countries and we are cooperating with each other in the international circles."
