Expansion of ties between Artsakh and European community discussed in NKROctober 28, 2010 - 20:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 28, NKR President Bako Sahakyan met with the members of the European Parliament who arrived in Artsakh on the same day. Expansion of relations between Artsakh and the European community, Karabakh conflict settlement as well as regional developments was discussed during the meeting. NKR President emphasized that balanced and multi-vectored approach as the basis of Artsakh foreign policy; in this context the republic is interested in deepening relations with Europe and its different structures. The necessity of peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk group was emphasized. The guests gave high assessment to Artsakh’s success in building a democratic state specifically noting its importance for the whole region. NKR parliamentary speaker Ashot Ghoulyan, chairman of the European Hay Dat commission Hilda Choboyan, members of NKR Parliament Vahan Hovhannisyan and Ara Babloyan partook at the meeting, Central Information Department at NKR President’s Office reported.
