Andrei Areshev: implementation of PACE resolutions optional

PanARMENIAN.Net - Implementation of PACE resolutions, as well as those of UN GA is of consultative character and purely optional.

According to the deputy head of Strategic Culture Foundation, Andrei Areshev, resolutions of the organizations above are meant as propaganda.

The chairman of the Public Council for NKR Foreign Policy and Security Masis Mailyan noted that PACE can apply sanctions, such as exclusion from the poll or suspension of authority, against any country. “However, this rarely happens. It’s unlikely for PACE to sanction Armenia,” Mailyan told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Earlier, a member of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Rafael Husseynov urged the Assembly to apply sanctions against Armenia.
