Baku insists on NATO’s involvement in Karabakh conflict settlement

PanARMENIAN.Net - The relations between Azerbaijan and NATO, as well as Azerbaijani parliament and NATO Parliamentary Assembly are developing dynamically, First Vice Speaker of parliament, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to NATO PA Ziyafat Asgarov said at the 76th Rose Roth seminar of NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Tbilisi.

Ziyafat Asgarov does not consider it right that NATO is not involved in the solution of Karabakh conflict.

“We raise this issue at the plenary meetings of the NATO. Of course, NATO does not deal with the solution of these conflicts. OSCE Minsk Group is dealing with Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, with NATO preferring not to interfere, which we believe is a wrong approach. Still, NATO can not stand aside from the solution of this problem. We talked with Mr. Lamers about it. We will raise the issue at this seminar,” he said.
