BC to boost contacts between Armenian, European fashion designers

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 11-12, the British Council (BC) will launch a two-year program – Path of Fashion: Dialogue on Borders Crossroad.

Armenian fashion designers and their colleagues from the European Union will work together, familiarizing themselves with one another’s culture during mutual visits, expressing impressions and ideas in their works.

The program aims to establish contacts, exchange of knowledge and skills between Armenian and European fashion designers, as well as encourage creation of joint products.

Fashion designers of Armenia, Great Britain, Germany, Romania, Denmark and the Czech Republic will create a common collection from 20 parts, which will be featured in Armenia and five European countries participating in the program. The British Council will present a museum of Armenia with the collection after its exhibition.

The British Council implements the program jointly with Goethe Institute, Romanian Institute of Culture, Danish Institute of Culture and the Czech Center, which are members of the EU National Institutes for Culture. The program is the first joint project of these international structures in Armenia. It is co-financed by the European Union and Armenian Council of Fashion.
