Turan news agency confirms information on Azerbaijani ambassador’s activity

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani Turan news agency has confirmed information about the activity of Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, who held meetings with Azeri actors to dissuade them from starring in Interrupted Song movie.

As a result, an Azerbaijani actor, who acted in many scenes shot last December, refused further participation in the project over the violent slanderous campaign launched by the Azeri media.

“Baku’s efforts prove effective. Anyway, the campaign against Interrupted Song movie was a success,” the agency reports.

The film crew described the ambassador’s actions as demonstration of intolerance reigning in Azerbaijan.

“After all this, Bulbuloglu’s “goodwill intentions” and “public diplomacy” seem at least ridiculous,” film producer Ashot Poghosyan said.
