Payments to RA state budget in 2010 exceed pre-crisis indices

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of the RA National Assembly Standing Commission on Financial, Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyan said that if the current pace of Armenia's economy stabilization is preserved, the state budget indices for 2010 will be significantly exceeded.

"The only negative index in the country's economy is inflation. The country's authorities should do their utmost to secure the inflation rate, which was envisaged by the budget," Minasyan told journalists, adding that the recorded macroeconomic indices also have impact on the state budget.

According to the PM, the payments to the RA state budget in 2010 are significantly higher as compared with last year indices and even exceed those of 2008 pre-crises period.

According to updated statistical data, 8.8% GDP growth was recorded in Armenia in January-May 2010 as compared with the same period of last year. Besides, the increase in consumer prices totaled 7.6% in January-May 2010 as compared with the same period of last year.

The national budget envisages 1.2% economic growth and 4±1.5% inflation.
