U.S. government to allocate $2.9mln assistance to Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 22, the RA government approved the suggestion on signing the protocol on introduction of the eleventh amendment to the Letter of Agreement on Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement between governments of Armenia and the U.S.

Since the signing of the original Letter of Agreement on June 11, 2001, the United States has provided around $11mln of justice sector assistance to the Government of Armenia. Meanwhile, the eleventh amendment is also aimed at developing efficient cooperation. Under the amendment, the U.S. government will allocate $2.9mln assistance.
