World Bank data on poverty level in CIS cited at Yerevan-Moscow-Kyiv –Kishinev- Tbilisi spacebridge

PanARMENIAN.Net - In accordance with Georgian President –cited data, 40 % and 18% poverty level in Georgia was reported in 2003 and 2010.

At the same time statistical data indicates 1,8 million people out of 4,4 population are on dole, which brings the poverty level to approx. 40%, Georgian experts stated at Yerevan-Moscow-Kyiv –Kishinev- Tbilisi spacebridge entitled Poverty. Where’s the Limit? Living-wage in Georgia was set at USD 71, whereas the mean income per person comprises USD 57. World Bank (WB) reported 2/3 of the population are beyond the poverty line.

WB reported 28,7% poverty level in Armenia with 6,9% beyond poverty line.

13,6% or 18 million people in Russia earn below the living-wage (USD 188), against 25 million in 2005. 26,4% poverty level reported in Ukraine and Moldova.
