RA government prioritizes financing of infrastructural programsNovember 5, 2010 - 17:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 5, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan participated in the opening ceremony of a water pipeline of social importance in Garni village (Kotayk region), the construction of which was launched in 2008. Mr. Sargsyan said that large-scale construction works will be implemented in the irrigation system next year. He noted that infrastructural programs of the government envisage continuation of large-scale road construction, specifically, the first steps should be taken for construction works under the Investment Program of Iran-Armenia Road Corridor. “Competitions have been announces and we hope that a new culture will be introduced in the road construction field,” he said. Besides, according the Prime Minister, programs on creation of infrastructures for electric power transmission will be launched. At the same time, PM Sargsyan attached importance to programs implemented on equal development of the country’s regions. “The government prioritizes financing of infrastructural programs. We will complete the works on earthquake zone rehabilitation. The third stage has been launched, while investments in the earthquake zone rehabilitation will amount to USD 250mln,” he said.
