RA Minister of Agriculture expects good results in agriculture in 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan believes that positive results will be recorded in agriculture in 2011, though he refrained from forecasting a growth in the field.

According to Karapetyan, prices for fruits and vegetables will start decreasing in June. He added that a part of these products will be even exported.

Besides, Karapetyan noted that he is pleased with the pace of reforms implemented in agriculture, saying their results will be seen soon.

According to him, the Armenian authorities take needed actions, for example, importers of agricultural equipment, fertilizers and agricultural chemicals will be exempted from VAT, what in its turn will have a positive impact on prices for agricultural products.
