CBA keeps refinancing rate unchanged at 8.5%

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the June 7 sitting, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) made a decision to keep the refinancing rate unchanged at 8.5%.

0.04% inflation rate was recorded in May 2011, as a result of which the annual inflation rate grew by 0.1% to make 9%, the CBA press service reported.

The CBA Board believes that the possibility of inflation environment expansion is rather low, while its suppression is possible due to interest rates established in the market. Thus, the inflation rate will range during the forecasted period within the acceptable interval of fluctuations - 4%±1.5.
