IFC regional director hails cooperation with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with the IFC Director for Europe and Central Asia Tomasz Telma.

“Armenian government currently prioritizes enhancement of the business environment and formation of the middle class. From this perspective, we attach great importance to IFC’s activity aimed at activating development of the private sector,” the PM said.

In this context, he noted government’s readiness to continue expanding cooperation with IFC, stressing Armenia’s advancement in Doing Business-2012 report due to cooperation with the international institution. .

Tomasz Telma, in turn, hailed the high-level bilateral cooperation, underscoring the importance of implementation of joint programs in various fields

The two men further discussed development of the Armenian securities market, as well as joint programs in energy sector, in the fields of boosting the investment climate, food safety, as well as facilitating import and export procedures, governmental press service reported.
