Bomb kills 3 NATO service members in eastern Afghanistan

PanARMENIAN.Net - A bomb killed three NATO service members in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday, May 6, the coalition said in a statement.

The alliance did not provide details about the attack nor the nationality of the service members killed. NATO usually waits for member nations to provide details about troop deaths, The Associated Press reported.

Militants commonly plant bombs along roads used by security forces, inflicting heavy casualties on NATO and Afghan government forces but also on civilians.

So far this month, eight coalition members have died in Afghanistan, bringing the year's toll to 140.
