Bomb explodes in insurgent attack on NATO Afghan base

PanARMENIAN.Net - A bomb has exploded in an insurgent attack on a U.S.-led coalition base in eastern Afghanistan, Afghan officials say, according to Belfast Telegraph.

There was no official information about casualties in the explosion, outside Khost.

NATO confirmed that insurgents had attacked a coalition base in the east, but did not disclose the location.

Police described a very strong blast.

One officer at the scene says it occurred at Camp Salerno and six civilians were wounded.
