Forest fire in Syria spreads into Turkey

A forest fire in the Syrian province of Latakia has crossed the border and spread into Turkey, Hurriyet Daily News reported.

A fire broke out in the vicinity of Kasab town near the Turkish-Syrian border due to an unknown reason, quickly spreading to Yayladağı in Turkey's southern Hatay province.

Firefighters from Yayladağı are currently trying to contain the flames.
