Syrian Armenians concerned over visa problems

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenians hold a neutral stance on Syria’s political developments, Syria-based Armenian businessman said.

“The Armenian community prefers not to get involved in Syria’s political issues,” Vazgen Mesropian said, adding that tensions in Aleppo keep escalating.

He further named citizenship and visa-related problems as priority concerns for Syrian Armenians.

“Getting Armenian citizenship takes 4-6 months, with a lot of visa problems hampering the process,” Mr. Mesropian said, adding that visas provided right in the airport would facilitate the procedure.
