2012 first half macroeconomic outcomes summarized in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the first half of 2012, Armenia’s economic activity index increased by 7,8%, as compared with the same peroid of 2011, Finance Minister said.

According to Vache Gabrielyan, 13% growth was recorded in industry sector, with 8,1 % increase observed in the field of agriculture.

"12% growth was noted in the service sector in 2012 first half, " he said.

Minister Gabrielyan further forecast 4% inflation rate, with 1,5% deflation registered in Armenia on monthly bases.

"2,2%inflation rate was observed in July 2012, compared with the same peroid of last year, " he said.
