Diaspora Minister, UNICEF rep. discuss Syrian Armenian issuesAugust 28, 2012 - 20:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On Aug. 28, Armenian Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan met with UNICEF Representative in Armenia Henriette Ahrens. Issues related to Syrian Armenian children were in the focus of the meeting. Minister Hakobyan briefed Ms. Ahrens on privileges and assistance offered to Syrian Armenians. UNICEF representative, in turn, voiced readiness to contribute to the implementation of the programs targeting Syrian Armenians. Ms. Ahrens pledged to convey meeting outcomes to UNICEF staff, with possible cooperation areas to be defined later, RA Diaspora Ministry’s press service reported.
