Russian nuke sub plant ex-head convicted for embezzlement![]() September 11, 2012 - 10:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The former head of a Russian nuclear submarine repair plant has been given a three-year suspended sentence for embezzling 29 million rubles ($916,000) in company funds. A court in Russia's Pacific port city of Vladivostok also ordered Yury Shulgin to pay 550,000 rubles ($17,300) in damages. Shulgin was head of the Zvezda plant in the eastern region of Primorye, a nuclear submarine repair and disposal facility, between 2001 and 2008. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
