Suspicious bag causes panic in Istanbul squareSeptember 26, 2012 - 14:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A piece of hand luggage left in Istanbul's Taksim Square sparked panic Wednesday, Sept 26, as locals called police on suspicions that that the unattended bag might be a bomb, Hurriyet Daily News reported. The bag was left in front of a bank near Kazancı Street in Taksim Square, prompting locals to call the police. Security forces arriving at the scene, closing off parts of the square to traffic and cordoning off a section of the area as bomb squads approached the suspicious luggage. The bag was found to contain no explosives after specialists blew it open with a fuse.
