  Armenia commemorates 1999 terrorist attack victims October 27, 2012 - 12:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is commemorating the 13th anniversary of the 1999 terrorist attack in the country’s parliament that claimed lives of 8 people. On October 27, 1999, a group of terrorists led by Nairi Hunanyan assassinated prominent public and political activists of Armenia: Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan, parliament speaker Karen Demirchyan, vice speakers Yuri Bakhshyan and Ruben Miroyan, parliament members Michael Kotanyan, Armenak Armenakyan, Henrik Abramyan and Leonard Petrosyan. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
