Angela Merkel will receive the leaders for talks at Berlin's Chancellery on Tuesday, October 30 evening amid worries that Europe's three-year-old debt crisis is weighing down global growth. The battle to stabilize the 17-nation currency bloc is therefore likely to figure prominently in the meeting. The talks with the IMF's Christine Lagarde, the WTO's Pascal Lamy, the World Bank's Jim Yong Kim, the OECD's Angel Gurria and the International Labor Organization's Guy Ryder are part of regular consultations.
