One killed in Ukraine coal mine blast![]() November 5, 2012 - 16:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A miner was killed in a Donetsk Region coal mine early Monday, Nov 5, in a sudden blast of gas and coal, RIA Novosti reported citing the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry’s press service. The blast occurred at the Zasyadko mine in the city of Donetsk, the regional capital.The press service said the body was recovered from under the debris. The mine is continuing its operation, excluding the zone where the explosion took place. The incident is currently under investigation. The Zasyadko mine has a history of disasters and has sparked a heated debate over mine safety in Ukraine. In 2007, a methane explosion at the mine killed 101 workers and became the worst mine tragedy in Ukraine’s history. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
