Armenian govt. to tackle Iran polymeric material export problem

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian government instructed the Foreign Ministry to address the problem related to the embargo on export of polymeric raw material from Iran.

“The Foreign Ministry is currently negotiating a solution to the problem with the Iranian side,” government’s press service said.

Iran has halted the export of about 52 products, resulting in suspension of polymeric raw material supply to Armenia for the past two weeks, which may have negative consequences for the country’s agriculture sector and processing industry.

Meanwhile, organizing the export of these products from other countries will take about 30-40 days, which may result in price rise.

The Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia (UMB(E)A) addressed Prime Minster Tigran Sargsyan with a request to help solve the problem.
