"Two fighters were eliminated in a special operation in the suburbs of Khasavyurt, and two more died in a car in a village in the Khasavyurt region of the republic," an investigator said. The two men who died in the car have been identified but not named, and according to the local interior ministry website were residents of Khasavyurt born in 1985 and 1988. A Kalashnikov 5.45-mm caliber rifle, two grenades and explosives were seized, the police said, but did not say from where. Russia's National Antiterror Committee previously announced on Friday, Nov 16 morning that two men, who were part of a group previously involved in crimes including murders, had blockaded themselves in a house in Khasavyurt. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
