"The aggression against Gaza is ending today. Without compromise or capitulation," presidential publication Marsi-al-Yaum quoted Morsi as saying. Morsi told journalists last week his government was in contact with both sides in the conflict and there was "some basis to hope for a swift ceasefire." A decision on whether to launch a ground invasion of Gaza has been put off by at least a day to give the Egyptians time to broker a ceasefire with Hamas, Israeli's Haaretz reported earlier on Tuesday.
