Egypt's President says Israeli attack on Gaza ending Nov 20

PanARMENIAN.Net - Israel's military operation against the Gaza Strip will finish on Tuesday, November 20, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi said, according to RIA Novosti.

"The aggression against Gaza is ending today. Without compromise or capitulation," presidential publication Marsi-al-Yaum quoted Morsi as saying.

Morsi told journalists last week his government was in contact with both sides in the conflict and there was "some basis to hope for a swift ceasefire."

A decision on whether to launch a ground invasion of Gaza has been put off by at least a day to give the Egyptians time to broker a ceasefire with Hamas, Israeli's Haaretz reported earlier on Tuesday.
