Baku urges OSCE MG to “speed up” Karabakh settlement after foiling talks![]() November 27, 2012 - 19:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The current situation with the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is unacceptable and status quo must be changed, head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration said. “Certain decisions and resolutions have been adopted by international and regional organizations, including the European Union, the Council of Europe, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the four statements of presidents of the U.S., Russia and France - the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs,” Novruz Mammadov said on Tuesday, Nov 27. "Our position is that the Armenian side should not seek delays of the negotiations by periodically finding excuses. We urge the co-chairs against protracting the solution to this conflict. They have been conducting negotiations for many years, with the talks having yielded no real results so far," Mammadov noted. He further deemed it impossible for the conflict to remain unsolved, stressing the Madrid Principles and other documents adopted on the issue. However, the Azerbaijani official “forgot” to note that Baku has for many years hampered the settlement of Karabakh problem, showing disregard for OSCE Minsk Group calls urging for ceasefire observation and removal of snipers. Moreover, Azerbaijan continues foiling Karabakh talks, constantly threatening Armenia and Artsakh with war, storing weaponry and violating international norms. ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington.
