5 killed in Ukraine helicopter crash

PanARMENIAN.Net - Five people died when a Mi-8 helicopter of Ukraine’s internal troops crashed in central Ukraine’s Kirovograd Region on Tuesday, Dec 25, the country’s interior ministry said in a statement, according to RIA Novosti.

“For unknown reasons, a Mi-8 helicopter dipped and crashed shortly after the climb,” the statement reads. “Three crew members and two employees of ground services died in the crash.”

A special commission led by Deputy Interior Minister Viktor Ratushniak was set up to investigate the cause of the accident.
